Why would you keep TVA tension while you run? If breathing is most important and what you do with your TVA technique doesn’t allow full breathing why do it? You will be keeping TVA concentrically activated yet deep abdominal breathing stimulates TVA in length as does gait as running.
Recommendations:
1. Do some more reading on the inner unit and its teamwork with intra-ab P, etc.
2. Do some more reading on your view of the inner unit with LA ex, as well as integrating it with more integrated movement
3. Do some more reading on how we actually develop our resp patterns at birth (0-3months is diaphragmatic, 3-6 is actually all chest breathing to develop accessory muscles and at 6 months is it is integrated together when
needed, under light loads we diaphragmatic breath and under heavy loads/more movement, etc we integrate the acessroy muscles
The key here is that we should do this all involuntary, but from poor nutrition, lack of ontogenic and morphological development, etc our resp patterns are still invol, but the mechanisms that go with it have to become voluntary because of dysfunction, lack of inner unit stabilization, etc. So we have to retrain it, but in the end the goal is involuntary recruitment, not hollowing or bracing consciously while running.
